Green Township - Broadband Internet Service Info

Public Meeting  January 10, 2011 at 7:00 PM  at the Township Hall

Topics to discuss are:

Currently the Township is serviced by:

1. Charter Communications along Northland Drive
2. Limited DSL service along the 18 Mile boundary
3. Satellite broadband service, several suppliers available (Hughes, Directway, etc.)
4. Cell phones data service packages (Multiple Carriers)
5. CASAIR Inc (Stanton, MI) has announced their intent to build infrastructure into Mecosta County over the next 2-3 years
6. Green Township has been working with a local internet service provider in surveying and developing a Wireless High Speed Network for the Township residents.  Our estimated time for operational service could be as early as June 2011 with township residents support.
