Noise Ordinance Draft (2010-2011)
The Green Township Board has begun to investigate the process of developing a Noise Ordinance for the township.
Supervisor's comments:
From time to time, some of our neighbors go a little too far imposing their noise
levels over property lines during generally accepted quiet times of the day.
A simple guideline to follow would be - calming things down and reducing party
noises, construction work noises, etc., around 10 PM and no later than Mid-Night
and bring it to conclusion. In general, most of society follows a
guideline of 10 PM to 7 AM and they get along with their neighbors fairly well
but for those who won't, we may need an noise ordinance for enforcement
purposes.
Feel free to put in your two cents about this document as it is drafted in the coming months.
When finished it will be brought before the public for a vote.
